Your ideal choice: Salesforce vs Pipedrive

Customers always ask us to share how Salesforce compares to other CRM solutions on the market. Therefore, we want to introduce a series of posts where we compare different aspects of functionalities of popular CRMs. Although we are great fans of Salesforce platform capabilities, we will try to be objective as we intend to ensure that businesses make worthwhile investments in terms of choosing CRM and whatever they decide to go with meets their needs. Today we want to start with Pipedrive.

Let’s start with … money, yes 🙂. In terms of license costs, Salesforce can be more expensive than Pipedrive, depending on plan and # of users, but on the other way, you get access to a #1 CRM and their amazing ecosystem. Also, if you need additional storage/licenses/API requests, it can require extra costs when we talk about Salesforce. But the flip side is that extra means that you wouldn’t have any limit to your growth. While in Pipedrive these measurable variables are pre-included into plans - which is definitely perfect if you have small to mid-sized businesses with simple processes, and becomes an issue when you grow and mature.

Now, let's take a closer look at the comparison between Salesforce and Pipedrive:

Overall, Pipedrive is a good CRM option with a user-friendly interface and simple sales pipeline management, which is OK if you just starting your business. But it may not have the appropriate level of customization, allowing businesses to tailor the platform to their specific needs. There is a possibility of incurring additional costs related to the migration and implementation, when you choose to switch to a different platform for more features. Salesforce requires some level of expertise to customize it in some complex cases, but the added value it provides is to get support from your CRM to your business processes (no matter how complicated they are) instead of your CRM limitations will rule your business processes.
