We recently had the privilege of working with The Nature Conservancy (TNC) to supercharge their SMS capabilities through SAS CI360, powered by Twilio. This project marks an exciting step in TNC’s journey to strengthen their connection with their supporters — and here’s what makes this integration special:

1. Flexible Messaging Options: the integration enables TNC to send both simple SMS messages and interactive Twilio Flows, allowing for two-way conversations. This capability creates a more engaging experience, letting supporters respond and connect directly via SMS. 

2. Scheduled & Trigger-Based Messaging: while real-time SMS is available, TNC is currently focused on planned, schedule-based messaging for maximum impact. By using Direct Marketing Tasks (DMT) in SAS CI360, messages are strategically timed to reach the right people at the right moment.

3. Customized CI360 Connector: with support from SAS, we fine-tuned the CI360 connector to align perfectly with Twilio’s messaging formats. This customization ensures every message reaches constituents seamlessly, with no extra formatting required.

And this is just the beginning! We’re already collaborating on future enhancements to make TNC’s outreach even more dynamic and responsive.
