Aiming to transform how healthcare services are delivered and measured to individuals with disabilities and special needs, a US-based healthcare provider launched a unified cloud-based data Lakehouse designed to unify, streamline, and optimize its operations through advanced analytics in a future-proof manner.

The solution was made possible through a strategic partnership with Opening Bell Ventures (OBV), a leading Digital and AI Transformation strategy consulting firm with the technology platform designed, built and delivered by T1A, a leader in enterprise-grade data infrastructure and AI transformation engineering.

With thousands served across multiple programs and a large operational footprint, the healthcare provider saw an opportunity to reimagine its ability to leverage data in support of its mission: empowering individuals with disabilities and special needs to live, learn, work, and thrive. The result is a modern, integrated platform that enables cross-functional insights, enhances service delivery and provides full visibility and performance measurement of its services and community outcomes.

“This project exemplifies how powerful the right data foundation can be when tailored to the mission and operations of a forward-thinking organization,” said Boris Vasilev, Senior Data & Cloud Architect at T1A. “We helped build a strategic asset that turns information into action and potential into favorable outcomes”.

A Platform Built for Purpose — and Performance

Key results from the launch include:

- Reporting Time Reduced from Weeks to Minutes

Quarterly reports that once took up to two weeks to prepare can now be produced in under 20 minutes. Staff are freed to focus on higher-value strategy and service delivery.

- Real-Time Visibility Across the Organization

With more than 20 department-specific Power BI dashboards, teams across the non-profit can now monitor performance in real-time – empowering teams from finance to IT with the insights they need to act quickly and confidently.

- Robust Governance, Trusted Data

The platform ensures strong data quality through active cataloging, weekly integrity checks, and enforceable governance policies.

- Built for the Future

Designed with scale and innovation in mind, the platform implements AI-enhanced decision-making capabilities, supports predictive analytics and enables future integrations with ease – setting the organization up for long-term digital success.

“The Lakehouse proves that when data is accessible, trusted, and presented in an intuitive manner it becomes a catalyst for impact for managers and line employees alike”, – said Corinne Lowenstein, COO at Opening Bell Ventures.

Model for Digital Transformation

This launch demonstrates what’s possible when innovation is paired with scalable, intelligent modern data infrastructure. It sets a new benchmark for accountability, agility and speed in the healthcare sector.

Technological Foundation

The new data analytics platform leverages Microsoft's comprehensive set of enterprise-grade technologies, including Microsoft Fabric for unified data management, Microsoft Purview for governance and compliance, Power BI for visualization, and Azure cloud for scalable computing power.

In the process of building the platform, T1A has also implemented a set of automated frameworks which accelerated the time-to-market and reduced manual efforts for managing the platform in the long run. This robust technological foundation provides the organization with enterprise-level security, reliability, and performance while maintaining the flexibility to adapt to evolving organizational needs. With this powerful tech stack in place, the healthcare provider is well-positioned to expand their analytical capabilities and drive data-informed decisions across all offered programs.
